Hello there!

How much historical data is available for a continous futures contract with RequestBars?

I tried to load @ES 15 min bars but it stopped at 12/07/2015 22:15:00. Is this normal? Or is it a limitation for the demo account?

Also, is there a table with the historical data limitations per kind of request (bars, ticks, daily bars, vol bars, etc)?

Thank you very much!!1

Best regards,
Nicanor

Hi Nicanor,

I am going to assume 12/07/2015 refers to July 12 and not December 7. We don't always follow the same conventions in the States. Anyway, the reason you are seeing the bars end on that date is because the server you are connected to limits how many days back you can go for data. In your case, you are hitting the 90 day limit (not counting weekends). It is listed as MaxIntraBarDays in the documentation since you are describing 15 min bars. It is at the bottom of the page here: http://www.gainfutures.com/api/api/html/4e2865e8-7ac9-457e-8d5a-6d930f3408a8.htm

Hi NShine,

Thank you very much for the answer and sorry for the dates... I forget sometimes.

Thanks!
