Previous versions of OECT (before 3.4.x.x) was able to be installed on user defined path. But, now, it installs by default to system defined "%ProgramFiles%\OEC" and "%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\OEC" and "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\OEC"
Is it possible to modify this paths through registry (or any other way) for more suitable location of OECT and its components for user? |

No, it is not possible to modify these paths.

Thank you, Victor. Why do you think so?
This paths are are relative, not absolute, I think. There are some entries in registry, like HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEC and HKCU\Software\OEC and HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\TypeLib\{D2D84068-A217-464E-9F1F-39DCE978EE20} And it's strange that you can install separate plug-in like Excel Add-In on your preferable path but main routine can't... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Chen Hua, Russia |

Excel Add-In is a COM that is used by Excel, but other plugins are used by Trader.

It was a second, not main question :)
Why "it is not possible to modify these paths"? What do you think about edit of corresponding registry entries by hands? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Chen Hua, Russia |

You can move Trader's folder manually to any place without changes in registry: it will work. But you will need to update registry data after moving the plugins. The next update will install all to the old place.
