Hi,

We have a user who's been struggling with performance issues since the end of October. We've run the gauntlet of tests looking for changes and have grilled him about local system changes.

He says that the system had worked great for him for a year. On October 22nd he shut down for the weekend. Then on October 24th when he started up for the new trading session the performance was really bad.

Since then he has identified that the issue is usually only during high volume times and sometimes is more of a problem when he has made many trades in the session. He is using a Demo login. He says he wouldn't trade real money with it working this way.

Is there anything that changed on the Demo server that weekend, like an increase in quotes or trade or other notifications per second?

Hello,

could you please specify what exactly became worse? charts, quotes, execution?

Software responsiveness. I suspect it is related to number of updates/messages per second. When it's not responding, he can't place or cancel orders until it catches up.

All of our tests don't show the problem to the extent he experiences, but we are not on his systems. He has tried different computers and is adamant that the issue started over that weekend, that it was OK Friday and not OK Sunday, with no changes to the software on his computer.

We didn't release anything that could increase number of updates. If this user still have the same issue, could you please ask him to send to us his Trader.xml.

We can't find any such file on the customer's system or ours, or mention of it in the documentation. The most I've found is some references to trader.xml in the release notes for versions 3.1.0.15, 3.1.0.16, and 3.1.0.18.

Sorry, I understood that you talked about OEC Trader.
Are you using OEC COM API, correct?
