It seems to take a LONG time to connect (login).
Looking at Windows Task Manager, it looks like megabytes of data is being received during the connection process. If I lose connection and want to reconnect, it is just too slow. If I lose my fast connection and revert to backup, I might as well forget about it. Is there any way I can minimize the connection time? Thanks, Dale Dale |

on login, OEC API recieves a snapshot of current configuration - available contracts, current positions and order states. In your case, the size of this snapshot is 1 megabyte.
We are aware that packet of that size can cause problems on slow connections, and working on a solution. As for now, you could ask the customer support to disable spread contracts for your login (of course, if you do not trade spreads) - this will reduce amount of data received on login. |
