Suppose a market is trading at 10000 and I put in a sell MIT order at 10001. The market jumps to 10002 and goes on up without ever touching the 10001 price. Will the MIT order be triggered?

[As far as I can tell from their documentation, some brokers say Yes (MIT acts like a reverse stop order) and some say No (the price must actually be touched).]

Thanks,

Dale

Yes, the MIT order will be executed if price "jumps" as well.
