FIX Support » SolicitedFlag and UnsolicitedIndicator Apr 09, 2020 @ 03:05 PM (Total replies: 1)
1) What is the difference between SolicitedFlag and UnsolicitedIndicator? 2) Should we assume that any ExecutionReports with UnsolicitedIndicator=Y is a external new order or a external order modification? (external = not from this FIX session) |

Hi, Is tag 41 (OrigClOrdID) really necessary if we provide tag 37 (OrderID)? I've never seen a FIX API that required 41 in this way. (i.e. what does it matter if we don't provide the previous version of the order if we have the permanent identifier?) Thanks. |

Ah I just saw in the docs that Only SNAPSHOT(0) is supported, so no subscriptions. |

Hi, If I have, say, 100 accounts subscribed to PositionReport snapshotupdates, and the connection is lost. Do I need to resubscribe all accounts to PositionReport snapshots on the next Logon message? Or is that persisted on your end? Just trying to avoid scenarios where we have > 1 subscription per account. |

Feedback » FIX vs OEC API Sep 02, 2015 @ 02:03 PM (Total replies: 1)
Hi, What is the road map for these two APIs? Is GAIN planning to retire the OEC API at some point? I assume eventually there will be equities/options trading at GAIN and I wonder which API will support them, or will they both support it? We've used both GAIN FIX (fox FX) and the OEC API and we've eventually consolidated around the OEC API. Basically I'd like to know if we should plan to move back to FIX at some point. Thanks. |

FYI short 9999 GOOG market returns the expected rejection message, so something is wrong with BUY orders. (Buy vs. BuyToCover issue?) "You need $5,337,216.23 in buying power." |

Also, Buy to Open 9999 GOOG Market results in the same unhelpful rejection message. "You do not have this position." Here there should be a risk system reject message to better inform the client. This will reduce customer service calls. |

e.g. assume a position with 2 exit orders (a stop & a limit) The OEC Futures risk system does not count exit conditional orders against equity, but OX does. Do you use the OX risk system or do you have your own for Equities? |

Buy to Open 1 G Stop 9999 Gtc results in "You do not have this position". Strange rejection message, is this normal? If the stop price is too high the message should be something like "Stop price should not be > xxx", no? |

Order Execution » GTC support Nov 05, 2009 @ 10:56 AM (Total replies: 2)
Hi, Is there a list of exchanges that don't support GTC orders through OEC? We looked into this a few years ago and too many products did not support GTC so we decided to not support it, but things have probably changed at OEC and we'd like to support them now without having to manually test all instruments. |

Historically, the OEC interface to ICE/NYBOT did not support GTC orders (or maybe it was the exchange that didn't support it). The trade desk told me today that GTC is supported on ICE. Can you tell me this is true for both ICE/NYBOT API orders? |
