Our real time exchange which includes automated trading must be active from 7am to 7pm EST.
Per your documentation OEC FIX API FIX/FAST and FIX over SSL dated march 10 2016 Times of Operation Sunday 5:00 pm ET - Friday 6:00 pm ET. OEC FIX Order Server has a maintenance window between 5:30 pm ET and 6:00 pm ET each day. During maintenance window the server can be restarted. 5:30 pm ET-5:35 pm ET is a “silent” period: open connections will be closed at 5:30 pm ET and new connections will not be accepted 5:35 pm ET. My question is: What will be your servers response if we try and place an order during this period. Please answer with respect to both 530pm to 535pm and 535pm to 6pm separately. Jack Chadowitz

If you have established connection you will able to send orders any time. After that there could be couple scenarios:
- if we connected to our uplinks, we will try send your order out - if we are not connected to uplink, or there some maintenance work in progress, we will reject our order. anyway you will get response back. Vitaliy Pfau |
