1) Are there any updates as far as the DDE documentation is concerned? When did the programmers decide to use tik! instead of quote!..???
2) Why do I now need to have the quote window opened in OEC trader for the DDE link to work??? |

1) The latest updated document about DDE can be downloaded from http://www.openecry.com/includes/pdf/DDE.pdf
We decided to use tik and quote as a synonym words about 3-4 years ago. 2) OEC Trader 3.4 required users to pre-define the list of contracts that should be downloaded after connecting to OEC Server via Contract Setup. Since OEC Trader 3.5 doesn't require it, these contracts should be pre-loaded another way before using. One of such way is to place a contract to Quotes window. Another way is to mark frequently used contracts as a favorite ones in Symbol Lookup. Victor Vins Software Developer |

This is a problem I was experiencing with OEC a few versions back. It happened @ 00:48 UK GMT on 4th November and around 5am UK GMT on 3rd November. |

Was there any troubles with quotes in OEC Trader at the same time? Any reconnections to OEC server?

The OEC connection to server was OK but the DDE link wasn't working. I had to shutdown OEC and restart it. Unfortunately I didn't check the quotes in OEC before restarting.
