I receive a SoftwareNotPermitted exception when trying to connect to the OEC test network using the Basic Example Application. Please explain how to resolve.

Please make sure you're using the latest version of Basic Sample.
If not - please download it from link below and try again

I verified that the lastest version of the sample is being used. Let me amplify that I am able to successfully connect to the simulation network at api.openecry.com (74.201.3.44) using the basic api sample program.

However, I am not able to connect to the network that was established for our company's work. When I try to connect to this network using the sample app, I receive the SoftwareNotPermitted error.

Basic Sample is intended to connect to api.openecry.com only.
You will not able to connect to any other environment using UUID (unique application identifier) from this sample.

Please contact Customer Service to know more about UUID and its usage.
