Users have noticed that the FDAX contracts are not showing any bars beyond 2.27.15.

We've called in once and received informal word that bars beyond 2.27.15 for FDAX contracts are no longer provided to demo accounts.

I've been asked to get a formal confirmation on this. So, is FDAX history beyond 2.27.15 no longer available in OEC Trader Demo?

Thanks,

CHW

GAIN Capital has been contacted and given notice by Eurex and Deutsch Börse that free market data for both live and simulated market data is not available. We are currently working on implementing a sign-up process for live data similar to what has been put in place for the CME.

For simulated trading we are in discussions with the exchange to be able to provide simulated data for demo trial periods. Data was disabled and until further notice it will stay this way.

We have been told by the exchange that these data restriction are not GAIN Capital centric and that other firms providing Eurex market data will also have to comply.

Thanks for this useful info.

Currently OEC Trader (real accounts only) continues to show data for FDAX without requesting or needing a fee. Do you have an estimate on when the switch will turn on for requiring the fee for real accounts?

Note: if DataFeedEntitlement is used as the way to flag that a user has paid for Eurex/FDAX data, then COM users will need an update to the api, as DataFeed Entitlement is not currently available to COM users; see http://futures.gaincapital.com/cfbb/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=972
